Choosing technology icons

Technology icons cover a wide range: hardware (laptops, phones, servers), concepts (cloud, security, AI) and developer topics (code, APIs, databases). Most products need a few from each group, so pick a pack wide enough to cover them in one style.

Product UI vs. marketing

Inside an app, use line or solid icons from an interface kit; they sit well next to text and form controls. On a landing page, feature grids look better with flat, duotone or isometric artwork that carries some color and depth.

Abstract ideas need labels

"Cloud", "sync", "security" and "AI" are abstract, and different packs draw them differently. Always put a short label next to these icons, and keep the same metaphor everywhere: if a shield means security on the pricing page, don't switch to a lock in the settings.

Devices and screens

Device icons date quickly. Prefer simple, generic shapes (a rounded rectangle phone, a flat laptop) over a specific model, and check that phone, tablet, laptop and desktop share proportions so a "works on every device" row lines up.

Before you download

  • List the concepts you need: devices, cloud, security, code, data, support.
  • Choose one pack that covers most of them in one style.
  • Add text labels for abstract concepts.
  • Use the SVG to React tool to drop icons straight into your code.

Questions about technology icons

Short answers on formats, editing and use.

Which style works best for a SaaS landing page?

Flat, duotone or isometric artwork for feature sections, and a line icon kit inside the product itself. Keep one style per section so the grid looks consistent.

Are there icons for AI, cloud and cybersecurity?

Yes. Search for ai, cloud, server, database, shield or lock; most technology packs include these concepts alongside devices.

Which file formats do technology icons come in?

Every icon downloads as SVG and PNG (16 to 1024 px). Editable line and solid icons also copy as React or Vue components, and whole packs download as one ZIP.

Can I use technology icons in commercial projects?

Yes. IconHub icons are free for personal and commercial projects with attribution. You can't resell them as files or use them in a logo. The license page has the full summary.
